New Pirate Birmingham or Midlands 87.5

Post by Sniffingmoose »

I've just come across 'FUSION' on 87.5MHz, playing dreadful dance/house so called music with RDS radio text saying 'Bienvenue Sur Radio Villedomer 87.5 MHz 24/24 FM Musique Rock'. Anyone one else hearing this?

Yep its been blowing my windows out for a week or so now. It's deffo Brum or Black Country not French. Andy up in Wigan and Tim in Congleton have been getting a strong signal from it too so they must be chucking out some serious power!

Seems all automated output. Maybe its good DX and coming from the Loire valley in France!! - Wishful thinking may be. Seems very odd. I cant tolerate it for long to find its location. I will soon get a headache and feel stressed if I keep listening and paracetamol are hard to get nowadays!. Anyway anyone one else hearing this?
If you don't like their output then don't listen. Simple... Just because it's not your taste of music theres no need to slag it off.

Raided according to their social media pages. Really shouldn't have put out such a big signal on a protected freq and also advertised the frequency all over their pages. Should have gone for the "internet-only radio" excuse.

There are usually lots of Ramadan stations this time of the year on 87.7 to 87.9, could it of been taken off quickly because of potential
interference to low power Ramadan RSL stations? There will be one in Wolverhampton on 87.9FM is on air from April 24th.

I heard today a pirate on 87.5 MHz via local SpyServer. It has no RDS, humming noise and suffered from overmodulation. It played Garage/Dance mixes.
