Just noticed Nation Radio on the NE Wales Ches Ensemble is DAB+

If you click on the photo I attached inline to the first post, the bit rate and CODEC info are clearly visible. No need to look it up on the internet.

There is currently no UK DAB+ service with a bit rate higher than 32 kbit/s as far as I know. Union Jack uses a lower bit rate of 24 kbit/s.
These seemingly low bit rates use a much more efficient, modern and advanced CODEC than the standard MP2 DAB used in the UK.

Actually the Birmingham, Manchester, Norwich and Portsmouth minimuxes have some DAB+ services running at 48 kb/s according to Wohnort. These will probably sound good on portables.

I missed that addition to NE Wales Cheshire mux DAB keeps changing hard to keep up.

Yes Nick there are a few services running 48 kb/s DAB+ you can see this in this video need to make another one now as there has been more changes on the Manchester trial mux.
