Most likely a USA east coast station. Never received this before...

my guess would by WWCB from Corry, Pennsylvania.

Kentucky and Missouri seem to far away regarding the rx. conditions

WDEA is the most common station on this frequency. The schedule on their web site is missing though.

I've only ever received WDEA and WSPD on 1370 - Splatter is horrendous from from Manx.

I had nothing at 0247, but just before 0300 I had "This is AM 1370 WDEA". It's format is Adult standards which matches what you heard (I don't think Forever in Blue Jeans is strictly Country !" Simon

Almost certainly WDEA. They are listed with Adult Standards, so Neil Diamond would fit the bill perfectly.

I can't see Neil Diamond being played on a country station, but our American members would be able to confirm that.

I checked my recordings around this time and nothing here. Well, lots of splatter.

// Our posts crossed Simon. You were aware of the format thing too.
