Re: Recording 192kHz audio

Eureka!

It works! (I used Audition, as I'm challenged by Audacity)

I recorded the audio from an IQ WAV file in HDSDR, and played the audio through RDS Spy.

This one has audio recorded from SDR# MPX plugin;

Recording 192kHz audio

I've just been searching for windows audio apps that can record 192kHz audio and found Audacity can do this! This is from an Audacity forum: Re: Can Audacity record at 192kHz? Permanent link to this post Posted by steve » Sat Nov 05, 2011 4:55 pm Yes it can. Click on "Other" then type in 1...

Re: Outsourcing of FMDX Es WAV files

They are just two consecutive minutes Tim. I can record just short of a third of the band at a time, so four recordings would bee needed to sweep the whole band. For the record, the stations I extracted RDS from can be seen in yesterday's log: http://skywavesdx.org/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=969 That...

Chances of that are slim. They both cover the btm of the band. My video is the second file ;)

Re: Outsourcing of FMDX Es WAV files

I have a couple of compressed files (Money's Audio) I will attempt to upload tomorrow, each one being 1.1 GB. They are samples of today's amazing Baltic opening. Signals from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia were plentiful but very weak, yet virtually all of them revealed RDS (PI). These will be a goo...

An impromptu trip to St Julie's Church, West Keal, on the way home from Boston this afternoon. Continental reception was stunning with strong signals from many Dutch and French transmitters. It was impressive to hear Nostalgie Vlaanderen, Oudenburg and RTL, Bethune-Lens swapping places, each one be...

RDS Spy is the winner on weaker signals :)

Yes Patrick. I had already implemented that tip when I made my video yesterday.

Re: Elad FDM-S2 Vs Sony XDR-F1HD - Initial Comparison

Vasili has developed a new MPX Output plugin for SDR#. " Streams signal at the discriminator. Output samplerate 192 kSPS all time. You can use virtual cable and connect to rdsspy.". I have tested it and seems to work well. That's some great support. https://yadi.sk/d/67h7fSMDgWcGP Thanks ...

Outsourcing of FMDX Es WAV files

Hello all,

If anyone has any FMDX Es IQ WAV files they want analyzed, park them somewhere were I can d/l them and I'll give it a go. I have a good internet connection, so can cope with fairly large files, and my i5 laptop is up to the task.

Once or twice I even lost the IOM (careless I know). Whereas Andy on high ground near Wigan reported he co...
