Hi Peter.

Harbour Light continued past sunrise here, fading out after 0600. This is unusual as I always see them signing off around 0355.
Thanks John

Re: unid 18/09/2017

Peter, My guess would be Grenada. The dominant station for me at both times was CBC and it is not them. I get the same music as you interfering with CBC at 0524 - and the offset matches with what Grenada has been on recently. Simon Thanks Simon. No sign of Canada here or anything else. MW Quick and...

Re: blackout

I've been exiled down to the basement, so I thought the lack of TA was due to that. Glad to hear it is not just me with zilch TA. I can just about squeeze a flag in here.

PS I am below street level but not below ground.

Now you mention this, I'm sure that 693 or 909 (BBC 5 Live) had an echo yesterday evening too.
The echo on 909 has been around for a few days, but I can null it with a ferrite rod. Moorside Edge is the strongest one here..

Re: Talksport nightime echo

Quite bad multi-transmitter echoing happening once again with TalkSPORT nighttime on the 1089kHz channel, which is surely an issue in many parts of the UK, unless fairly close to a 1089kHz transmitter to be strong enough to really dominate the channel at night. from the DX point of view this echoin...

Re: TA Conditions 2017-09-04

Possibly the best TA conditions so far this season this morning. I can't say there was much at crystal clear levels other than the Caribbean Beacon and Rebelde (1620). Possibly the most interesting thing I heard was a Latin station on 1380 around 0300 - 0400. I could hear Latin rhythms and the offs...

The cx seem to be building up nicely over Eu today. I managed to miss the activity on the last two days of Aug, so hopefully I'll catch something today.

Re: Was it just here?

Peter - Usually, you have far better results than I do, yet this morning I heard several North American stations. Nothing exciting, but WBBR 1130 was probably the best signal. There was nothing from regulars on 1500 WFED, 1510 WMEX and 1520 WWKB. Even 1560 WFME was a struggle. But TA audio was dete...

Re: Was it just here?

I was up early again today Tuesday dxing live and cx were poor again, although I did get 1400 CBG Gander with clear "CBC news" IDs around 0500 UTC, using the Eton Satellit 750 with a Tecsun AN200 loop. I was using a direct connection. The AN200 is better at rejecting noise than the rotating ferrite ...
