Re: Setting up the Perseus SDR for remote SDR / Network access.

When you open a port you normally have to specify tcp and/or udp. I have mine open for both on 8014 and I can listen to other Persii. This window is probably your firewall or AV application. If you have 8014 open to udp traffic and it is not working when you connect to a remote station then it is ei...

Re: Clutching At Straws: 15-09-17

Having just refreshed the wire on my BOG I am sure it will get worse!! My original wire had been in use for several years and it was patched in several places due to wind and critter induced breaks. Some nice green thicker wire is now down - wonder how long until the first break? The garrigue in the...

The poor MF conditions are due to the solar flares. We'll see better conditions once Autumn starts and the sun becomes a bit quieter.

Is 1242 stronger than 1215 with you?

Re: Unid 90 Mhz French ears needed

Actually the way I wrote it is perfectly correct. French is the main language spoken in Monaco. Andorra is Catalan speaking. Luxembourg is Luxembourgish. Most inhabitants of Andorra and Luxembourg can understand and speak French.

Re: Unid 90 Mhz French ears needed

Freewaymusic don't have dxers' ears!!

It's not Monoco, Andorra or Luxembourg and the latter two are not French speaking (despite everyone knowing FF.....). I don't think is is Belgium either.

Maybe help if one or two of our native French speakers had a listen, Ced?

I'm pretty sure it is not Alouette.

Are you 100% sure it was 90,0 MHz?

Re: Unid 90 Mhz French ears needed

This is approximately what I am hearing:

"Commencent-ils sont de la ville - en deux L"

This is not 100% correct at all. The beginning is hard to work out as well as the 3 letters at the end.

Re: great id

Good IDs for 1630 KKGM Fort Worth TX this morning at 0500. Conditions poorer than yesterday - only 0500 with any decent sigs here in the Cabardes badlands. Still good opportunity to give Jaguar v3.0 a run our. Audio is so much better than stock Perseus.

Sneaky EE ID for Toronto 1610's CHHA with the letters spelt out in EE and not SS at 04:58:06.

I'm 95% sure it is FGL. The jingles match though your recording seems to have a fade at the beginning of the FGL id so only GL is audible.

Re: TA Conditions 2017-09-04

With the coming of the arriere-season in the Cabardes badlands of southern Occitania and the lower temperatures (lol 32C right now) it was time to roll out the 300m BOG. I recorded for the first time over night and some strong NA regulars with good signals at 04/05 UTC. 1470 WLAM was as strong as I'...

Re: ALL TIME TOP / BEST FM RADIO or TUNER ?

The file sizes will be larger than 2GB. That limit went out with XP.

I agree 100% with what John wrote. Another alternative would be a fast PC with 2 x Airspy 10MHz devices. Though the FDM-S3 would probably be superior. Maybe....

Re: suggestions - how to get many coax into the house?

Drill a hole through brickwork and put a piece of washing machine outlet pipe through. Trim pipe to fit flush. Try and make hole slightly downwards to exterior so water doesn't run in. Job done.
