Re: UK Analog shutdown delayed till 2032

WRTH2021 gives FM freqs for 3 out of the 5 nationwide commercial stations, says there are 300 local stations on FM (some sharing freqs) and a US Military AFRTS outlet on 101.5 in Stavanger.

There isn't. The radio is overloading. Have you connected an external antenna?

Re: Guess what?

Several points. The Perseus is certainly not plug and play. Have we forgotten already the driver issues with usb 3 and Win10? Like the Perseus the Elad requires drivers to be installed. This is done as part of installing the FDM software which should be done before trying to use SDRC I believe - tha...

Re: Guess what?

I've done a quick and dirty 2 minutes video for the rig https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkjkmZ4h4pU showing MF and HF reception. Just a taster really.

Been checking most nights about midnight local with Wellbrook loop and 930 CJYQ has been consistently strong. Not much else to be honest.

Low Sp E

There is Sp E about on the lower bands. Strange conditions on 15m - Failed to work EP2LMA who was strong but a fellow Rat in Kent did. At the moment I see MD0CCE - ground wave, F4NEP - Sp E , 5Z4VJ - F2 at same time

Re: Guess what?

"How do you find it?" It's a very solid, heavy, well built rig. Comes with BNC connectors for the sma sockets and a top quality usb3 cable. Small point but I like the fact it's powered by 12V DC and has a powerpole connected DC lead in the box. All my DC gear uses powerpole connectors. I'm using SDR...

Re: Tropo Alert

Intense sea tropo to west of IO83 bringing in fully quieting Energy FM 91.2 from GD and many stations from the Republic. Unfortunately not extending to East.

Re: Tropo Alert

Not here. Q 102.2 very strong on portable and I've just worked EI2GLB in the Republic on 2m ft8. It's forecast to burn off with the sun around now and be back with a vengeance tomorrow morning.

Re: Guess what?

As good as the Perseus is (hardware -wise) the FM+ is poor. It overloaded very badly in London. The review was actually very positive and was not saying it wasn't worth the money. Whether Clint changed his mind or had his mind changed for him I have no idea. Looks like there will be additional modul...

Aye - we have three free radio stations up here and I'd rather hear them occasionally than endless identikit Heart and Greatest Hits stations.

Re: 100,4 Nostalgie. Belgium or France?

I think she's saying "Radio FM - vous ecoutez Nostalgie"

I don't recall/recognise that as a French Nostalgie ID, so I would say it's Belgian.
