1440 kHz 0230-0404

Automated oldies overnight, rubettes, bee gees and a lot of songs I don't recognize. The only European left on 1440 is Trieste but they're supposed to be dance/techno Px sounds like a UK gold station or hospital radio station Any ideas? It's still Wierd being able to Dx on 1440 So many clear channel...

Re: The Titus II Portable SDR update

Seems "influenced" by my rdr pocket
I've had it since spring but this year has been so awful I haven't really put it through its paces, at this rate it will be next spring before I can say anything meaningful about its performance

Luxembourg effect - the ultimate example

Currently allouis 162khz is radiating a huge blank carrier Presumably the data signals it carries are still needed Listen to the frequency and you will hear a veritable tower of babel! A myriad of different languages all muffled, depending on your location what you hear will vary While some people a...

Re: MW Offsets Records

Omg I'm dxing mw from home again!

1400 sounds like BBC world service px, so presumably cbc 0620ut no idea, I'm out of touch, don't even buy wrth anymore Carriers noted every 10khz from 1250-1700 Large negative offset on 1480 Last proper Dx from home was December 2008 Alaska/Hawaii but with all joy sucked out of it by the noise No ch...

Korea time pips 972 @1900utc

Thanks to John for the tip, I've done it, despite the hideous noise levels here. Previous attempts with the elad failed but the rdr54d1's extra gain and superior noise rejection did the trick So far its time pips only but it's a good start Channel is dominated by club Asia and rne 1 Aerial is random...

Lviv Band 2 changes

have sent updates to fmlist, many stations have dropped RDS, some pi changes the major change since 2014 is a new tourist station on 104.3 replacing the previous listed station I think Ur1 is now coming from Vysokyy zamok (main lviv TX site) on 103.3 it seemed too strong to be a 200watt tx 100km awa...

Thanks Maciej
yes this is the latest strategy so pirates can pretend they're just internet stations and have no idea who is relaying them on FM ;-)

i have no idea if this works in a court of law!

Re: Lviv, West Ukraine

To make amends for the lack of Dx during my recent travels please accept this ragbag of radio related photos and observations My apartment was under the Lviv tx familiar to all TV/FM Dxers. at night it's lit in a pleasant manner. The new Radio Maria outlet on 66.26 is a great sign for the future of ...
