With the optical encoder replaced (thanks J!) I now have a nifty little portable to take the place of the handhelds nobody makes anymore! Between the awful weather , my parents surgeries and my health problems this has been my worst year for hilltopping in ages so I haven't done the trials I wanted ...

Think that Asian stuff required good condx as I haven't managed to repeat it.

Normal ECNA til 0940ut this morning ,only semi rare (for me) catch was pres/tent WHO 1040

Of all my unids the only one that had any unique fingerprints was 1289.9975 couldn't extract any meaningful audio.

1440 kHz 0230-0404

Automated oldies overnight, rubettes, bee gees and a lot of songs I don't recognize. The only European left on 1440 is Trieste but they're supposed to be dance/techno Px sounds like a UK gold station or hospital radio station Any ideas? It's still Wierd being able to Dx on 1440 So many clear channel...

I've had it since spring but this year has been so awful I haven't really put it through its paces, at this rate it will be next spring before I can say anything meaningful about its performance

didn't record as only the non recording rx (RDR54D1) rejects the noise so dxing live for the moment
