Re: That dreaded day has come.

I've been up and down the street and also in a car park behind those houses with a Tecsun in hand. Nothing in the car park behind but loud round the front of the houses. I've pretty much narrowed it down to one house. Had a conversation with the BBC reporting system and got through to someone in Bel...

Re: That dreaded day has come.

Thanks John. In addition, we may send out a spectru...

That dreaded day has come.

Well, that day has come. After years of minor interference to the FM band I now have a serious problem going on every day now. This is a really strange one, so if anyone has any ideas feel free to add some insight. I have something transmitting garbled Chinese audio all over the FM band every mornin...

Computer monitor advice

Hey folks,

I want to change out my ancient 19 inch LG computer monitor for something more modern and wide - anyone got any suggestions for something which wont fill the spectrum (HF or VHF) with interference?

Any suggestions on models or makes would be great.

Re: DOUBLE HOP ALERT! Exotics mixing Balkans

Nice!

Too far west for it here. Could see Turkish and Ukranian signals on 50 mhz though. Both double hop from here. Was hoping Ukraine would pop up on OIRT but not a peep.

Re: Bring back Spain on Band 1.

I remember borrowing a portable TV from my sister in the early 80s and fiddling about thinking "I wonder can I get anything from far away" - I used to look at the Pics published in Practical Wireless, but I had no understanding of how it all worked. The portable had a loop antenna on the top, maybe ...

Re: No Es-Season in Germany in 2019!

It's certainly a very odd season. Yesterday was great at my location with good openings to Spain, Portugal, Madeira, Canary Islands - but it really was the first very good day. Everything else has been lack lustre with many days of little or no activity.

Openings to the east just aren't happening.

107.9 Valga, Galicia, Spain low powered station video

Love hearing those low powered Spanish stations at the top of the band. A new one for me:

From last night: Radio Municipal, Valga, Pontevedra region, Galicia.

E skip - June 13th

Well, seems like there is still some life in the ionosphere. This morning's signals from Iberia seem more like an E season. Decent MUF's and amazingly - after all these years - new stations logged from Portugal and Spain.
