Re: ss morning 21/3

Same here. No ID, but peaks OK during music. 1039.9806. There's an OM announcement at 05:52:55, but it's way too weak at this point.

Re: French Autoroute received on 107.7, 25-06-15

Thank you Pascal. Good to know this.

I am fairly sure that I received one of the Autoroutes on 107.7 via tropo too, but I cannot find that log. Must be from my Nottinghamshire days. I lost a lot of files and loggings back then.

Re: Who moved the start of spring?

Honestly, I'm sick of this. (Not you, Dave.) It's always been the 21st March, which is probably an average/adjustment, etc. Then the met orifice say it's March 1st. (Or was that April 1st?) People are very good at changing things to suit themselves. The actual facts will be found on sites like https...

Re: ss morning 21/3

1400.2716 here is OAU2H Radio Agricultura from Cajamarca.

I thought I heard "Cultura" a couple of times. Seems to be them with the 1400.2716 offset. Not sure who is on 1400.1770. Audio is there around 06:00 and there a slight drift.

There's a BOOMING Spanish back-to-back music station on 1490 over the 06:00 slot.

This one on 1400.271 is attracting some interest on RealDX.

Re: ss morning 21/3

Very much a Spanish morning here too. I hope I can dig out a few new catches. 1270 wasn't peaking at the time you mention David, but hopefully I can dig something out. So far, I have dug out a couple of interesting ones. Simon: Checking 1280, I found this at 06:00. Not sure there is much to go on, b...

Re: A tough one on 1470

Am I hearing a W call three seconds in on your first link? Sounds like it, but difficult to make it out. It vaguely sounds like WBEC. The same on your second recording at five seconds, but weaker still.

MW is poor this March

Quieter indices and little DX. What is happening? I always bang on about which are the best months for MW DX, but conditions may dictate differently. That old assumption that the months of November and February are the least productive months for TA activity has been turned on its head this season. ...

Re: Romanian (Probably), Hungarian or Bulgarian ID

Yes, a lot of changes happening in Hungary. I will post the log from 04-06-18 later. It's been ready for posting for a while, just little free time this week. This was a day of superb Es and stands out by a clear a mile from the rest of the 2018 season.

Re: Romanian (Probably), Hungarian or Bulgarian ID

Thanks PFM.

I found the recording. The frequency was 104.0. This will get filed in the bin as I can't find anything close to "Rock Radio" on 104.0.

Thank again all.

Re: 1490 A possible ID at 04:00 this morning

Thanks for checking Simon. Vida Nueva is on quite a low offset, this one is almost spot on, so I didn't bother to measure it.

I haven't had time to check the last few day's recordings and I may not have time this evening.

1490 A possible ID at 04:00 this morning

https://app.box.com/s/0v6pof13v63pi22ps2002go0encymwyz Pathetically weak and I don't really think there's anything to go on there, but I am just hoping that somebody else catches this. It sounds like a Latin and it looks like it's on the same offset as WBAE. This was at exactly 04:00. Headphones abs...

Re: Romanian (Probably), Hungarian or Bulgarian ID

Thanks all.

Listening again, I think I hear "Rock Radio" as it fades. There is an echo of that too.

Yes, don't the Hungarians say "Magyar" when talking about themselves?
