If that were the only problem I had. You should try my life. If I don't kill somebody this week it will be a miracle. All aerials are down at the moment. North American conditions are shit. Don't ask me why (I doubt anybody will concern themselves over that one.) but that's one of the mysteries of t...
I use Thunderbird to organise my emails. Each email address I own has it's own 'Rules' and all messages are sorted into their respective folders. It works really well. Until ... Every now and again, something changes, and I presume it's my providers, Ionos. This morning, all my emails went into the ...

Such a shame. I realise the value of this amazing service Gunter provides ... but even more so with this outage. There was an excellent German tropo in place when I arrived back at the farm yesterday. I had to ignore it, switching off the receiver. It wasn't the same not being able to quickly find /...
Is this the Triax FM8? You're better with an FM5 if you have the slanted reflector supports. They totally mess up the antenna. We did some in-depth analysis on the FM8. It's was found to be 'all over the place', to use the technical term.

Good question. It's cold, drizzly and a little on the windy side here. (I have forgotten what the sun looks like.) The DX has also drizzled out this evening. I was really expecting a good Danish opening, possibly running into Sweden. Where is it? There are just a few bits and pieces of Denmark, nort...
Yes they do Peter. I wasn't sure so I just checked. As it happens, I could barely hear them this morning because Radio Santa Rosa from Peru was squashing them flat at 05:00!
Yes, awkward officials - and strict local policies, the kind Housing Associations can impose. These people can create their own rules which can be completely different to any other local council's rules. The thing is, nobody would ever refuse permission to erect a TV antenna. The same should apply t...

I hope it isn't EAUK. That's not what we low frequency DXers want. Thanks for the info Simon. This is just the norm for me. A never ending battle that I have with computers. I do push them to their limits though. The computer I use for DXing happens to be my newer model and the one I use for work to...
