DX Tip: 1420 CKDY Digby NS

This one used to be quite common, but I rarely hear it these days. If you ever hear country music on 1420, consider this one. Nice peaks and numerous IDs heard this morning, but a nice one at 05:30:45. IDing as CKDY and not AVR tonight,

Thanks Simon. It's sort of there, but I can't really make it out. Maybe next time.

Re: DX TIPS 23/3

No problem. I managed to track down their playlist. It wasn't them anyway.

Re: DX Tip - 1500 - WFIF

Luckily I managed to 'Recuva' my files. What time is the ID? I don't think I am going to be lucky with this one, but I have two stations. One which seems to be on the WFED offset but which doesn't appear to be them. Then there is another station on 1500.0024 which signs off at 23:29. Offsets are acc...

DX Tip: 1490 WBSS Pleasantville NJ

https://app.box.com/s/o2vgeqiegy0eiiiixvc4ri01pydr3yzx A brief peak, just right for the ID! I have looped this recording a few times. It mentions the number 1 (Chevrolet?) dealership in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. The lady clearly says WBSS Pleasantvile. The ID on the wav file is clearer,...

Re: DX TIPS 23/3

David: Were they playing You're The First The Last My Everything by Barry White between 05:37-05:40 by any chance? That's the only peak I can find. Not exactly blues, but probably boogie.

Re: 1640 - What is the Network ?

Very interesting. This has made me wonder about a few of us sharing the odd screen like this. I would find it very interesting to see how things differ between us. Since owning Jaguar, it has become clear to me that nobody appears to have a best overall position in reception capabilities, unless of ...

Re: 1640 - What is the Network ?

Just took a look here and WOW! What a difference. I have four carriers, just about at audio level. I don't hear what you have in your recording. I suppose I am just curious how my screen grab might differ from yours. WSJP Sussex WI would be my second guess. They have Relevant Radio and the voice in ...

Re: DX TIPS 23/3

Thanks David. I think I have WMMV 1350 but only a discussion / interview going up to the 06:00 slot. It fades on the hour. 1580 has a second station. Talk can be heard behind CKDO, but it's too weak. Maybe WSRF. I did manage to dig something out from yesterday's recording and it sounds like the same...

Re: My first one from Colorado

Sorry but I don't hear a KCRN ID. Is there one in your recording? I hope I am wrong, but EWTN on 1060 is almost certainly going to be WQOM.

Same here. No ID, but peaks OK during music. 1039.9806. There's an OM announcement at 05:52:55, but it's way too weak at this point.

Re: French Autoroute received on 107.7, 25-06-15

Thank you Pascal. Good to know this.

I am fairly sure that I received one of the Autoroutes on 107.7 via tropo too, but I cannot find that log. Must be from my Nottinghamshire days. I lost a lot of files and loggings back then.

Re: Who moved the start of spring?

Honestly, I'm sick of this. (Not you, Dave.) It's always been the 21st March, which is probably an average/adjustment, etc. Then the met orifice say it's March 1st. (Or was that April 1st?) People are very good at changing things to suit themselves. The actual facts will be found on sites like https...

1400.2716 here is OAU2H Radio Agricultura from Cajamarca.

https://app.box.com/s/hqyvad206hozupjkizqwrvkq6y9xsslx

I thought I heard "Cultura" a couple of times. Seems to be them with the 1400.2716 offset. Not sure who is on 1400.1770. Audio is there around 06:00 and there a slight drift.
