Thanks for getting tip. But nothing here at 0500, caught the same id at 0400z. But it was being killed from VOCM on 590, lol..

Re: 680 WAPA San Juan PR Good

David,

Same here, very good signals from the usual stations. Just nothing new anymore, needs a mid-West to west coast opening!
I know what we hear up North may be very common, even boring to us, but can be prized catches to some of you.
Band was full of Cuban pests last night, that's all I need..

Re: 1470 Spanish

John,

According to the downloadable list on the MWC site, WWBG was received a few years ago. So no firsts for me, boo hoo 😢😢

Re: 1470 Spanish

Ok John, well was worth a go.

BTW I have been hearing this station for weeks, and I did email Barry this clip.
As I don't collect firsts or PF's or any other title, whoever likes can claim it, lol...

Re: Irish Pirate 675

John,

OFCOM is our (UK) useless crowd. Over the border in "bog" Ireland it's COMREG. But does anyone know the procedure to actually report something to them. There doesn't seem to be any type of form on the websh*te..

Re: Irish Pirate 675

Yes John, KBRW was very strong tonight, but that blasted pirate was stronger and is 10kHz wide plus..
Goes off just as Barrow fades and Toronto appears.
Anyone know how to report illegal transmissions in Ireland ?

Irish Pirate 675

He is on from the Malin Head, NW Donegal area. Wipes out 680 for me, so no chance of hearing Alaska !
Can anyone hear him ?
Plays continuous music, mostly oldies, no voice..

But I have an Irish pirate form Malin Head direction that has parked close to 680, and completely ruining my reception ATM.

Re: 1350 UNID "W---" Call

John,

WOYK is in almost daily, so it is a likely candidate.

Personally I will not log anything that I don't have at a reasonable level with a callsign or other info that indents it.

Yes Jaguar is great, but it takes a bit of driving to get the best out of it.

Re: 50 or 75ohms for MW's

Yes I agree with John.
My KAZ is fed with fairly high quality 75 ohm satellite cable with two braided screens plus a foil cover. Screening is more important than impedance on MW.
