Re: DRM on 1071kHz last night (France?)

This DRM transmission is active again on 1071, noted in the past few days after apparently a long absence. AFAIK It is the only MW transmitter (of any mode) currently on air in France as 1593 has fallen silent recently. (as per other thread)

The other day, I received ITV3 audio on 86.5MHz. I don't know where is it come from, but It was certainly ITV3 audio carrier. Link below:

Probably someone's wireless headphone device ??? A frequency in what would of course be the Japanese FM band.

Re: Band 1 - Who's left this year?

Might be worthwhile anyone in the London area (I assume) keeping an eye scanning/monitoring on Band 1 for tests of a vision carrier with an AM audio carrier (offset by −3.5 MHz ), or maybe either on its own initially, if the plans on the link below come to fruition? (and of course do report in this ...

Re: Bretagne 5 on 1593 off air

Appears to be gone again from 1593kHz ???

I noticed it apparently absent last night and again checked a few minutes ago, not audible

PS
some discussion (in French) here about the recent disappearance of 1593 :

Re: XHData D-808

Some very clear pics of the inside of the XHDATA D808 in a posting on this thread on a Russian messageboard: http://www.radioscanner.ru/forum/topic49975-7.html#msg1353258 I spot a Crystal of 35.328MHz - I presume the purpose of this is that, maybe 3rd overtone (4th harmonic) of this crystal is used ...

Re: 120-ish MHz Low Pass filter (DAB killer)

Does your OIRT receiver use a 10.7MHz I.F. with a Local Oscillator that's 10.7MHz above the received frequency? I assume the images are due to 3rd harmonic of the Local oscillator and that being then 10.7MHz away from a DAB MUX. (just figuring out why it is happening) the BBC ‎12B (225.648 MHz ) MUX...

Re: Bretagne, unusual 107.7 reception

the local autoroute 107.7MHz transmitter might have just abruptly gone off the air (leaving through a distant signal), though googling I cannot find any NRG 107.7?? BTW, Do these autoroute transmitters transmit Stereo ? I'd have thought not (mono-only being more workable for a FM SFN) though I see s...

Re: Tesco RAD113B

. I do not understand the architecture of the device but it does not seem to use a Local Oscillator or have hardware IF filtering. The device has FM stereo outputs. On FM there IS a local oscillator which is approx just 0.125 MHz away, above or below, the received frequency, on these type of receiv...

Re: Peter in Las Palmas, 100 kHz selectivity

The radio has direct frequency entry, but there is no "enter" button, so there is a delay before the station is tuned in You'd expect that the Play/Pause button would function as an Enter button for direct frequency entry (I assume you have tried it ) ?? Any manual available online for this Bannixi...

Local Oscillator in PMR 446MHz walkie-talkies

Local Oscillator in PMR 446MHz walkie-talkies - I have a pair of PMR446 Walkie Talkies - Twintalker 4710DCP - bought in Lidl some years ago, I discovered that the Local Oscillator (LO) operates 21.4MHz below the received frequency (to create a 21.4MHz IF) and can be received in the vicinity. so for ...
