Re: Unidentified Latin ID 1469.9507

At 38 seconds, the presenter mentions "Victoria de Arequipa". Great catch!

Re: Unidentified Latin drifter 1510

I'm quite sure a "Radio Alegria" ID (male announcer) is heard at 13 seconds, followed by an announcement by a female announcer that sounds like "Viva Peru".

Sounds like the latter part of a jingle is heard in the very beginning, so perhaps there is a little chance to identify the station by that.

Re: 1390 - Latin

If it was Venezuela, the language would be Spanish.

The language is Portuguese, however, indicating it's a Brazilian station. The time check sounds like "two hours and 24 minutes", so it should be UTC-3.

It is not Romanian for sure. To me it sounds rather Slavic. Bulgarian perhaps?

Re: Can anybody help with the language or style of music in this ?

The style of music and sound of the language might fit to Radio Botswana indeed. The latter is quite distinctive and it reminds me of what was heard on 4820/4830 kHz about 30 years ago.

Re: WBZ on 1030?

There is no call at 22 seconds but a sung "iHeart Radio" jingle at 23 seconds. As WBZ belongs to the iHeartMedia group it's quite likely them in my opinion as it's the most common US station on 1030 kHz to be received on our side of the pond.

Nice catch and signal, John! Your trip to a noise free location was definitely helpful.

Great reception on the Sangean 909X with just the ferrite antenna. Congrats on the reception and also on the nice handwritten QSL!

Why should these two co-operate or relay each other's program?
A sports event with teams from both cities involved could be a reason for such a relay.

But here's what I recorded at 16:00: https://app.box.com/s/pz6v6owvfjzq42pesopjtu4pik96van8 Chariots Of Fire song extract, part of a national anthem, but an unidentified language. I'll bet this is either Egypt or Iran as it sounds Arabic-ish, but the national anthem doesn't tie up to any anthem I h...

At 0:07, "Voz del Llano" is mentioned which used to be the name of the RCN station in Villavicencio, Colombia on 1020 kHz, so maybe you received Radio El Sol from Barranquilla relaying that station or just referring to it.

Nowadays both stations are branded as "La Cariñosa".

Also possible AM use? The D-808 is an excellent performer on MW with the built-in ferrite antenna and also on SW with the rather short whip antenna. Forget about it on LW though unless you have a decent external (loop) antenna for LW. Anyway, overall the D-808 is a very pleasant radio for mobile DX...

Re: 650 Greenland and 680 KBRW in

There was a faint carrier on 680 kHz between 1400 and 1600 this afternoon revealing some very fait audio (female announcer) around 1455 that requires some in-depth listening. Another faint carrier appeared on 1500 kHz around 1600 (maybe KHKA from Hawaii), but unfortunately no audio materialized. On ...
