Durris! It's over coastal land and sea path. Fort William is beaming up and down the Caledonian valley and has got the odd Ben in the way :D

Now carrying programme RTE1. Carrier level is the same, except it's gone up a bit after dark, so disregard my comment about variable carrier power

Re: RTE 252 going qrt?

Clarkestown is back on (or someone is ;) ) It's a massive signal, no mod yet except a bit of Luxembourg, about 3dB below Droitwich 198 here Tim says the qrg is spot on 252000, had been 2Hz low Must be a new tx, I suspect it's one of those types that can do DC modulation and they are testing at 4 x n...

Heritage Radio, Manchester

The FM service, long promised on their website, has now come on air, on 90.6 with a Community Radio licence. The signal is strong driving around S M'cr and I presume it is co-sited with other CR at Manchester One [Portland Tower] with the usual 25W. The programme is different to the 1602kHz tx in Wh...

Re: Iceland 207 Khz

I also like the DC-360, but mine was killed by static and is in the 'repair pending' pile so nowadays I use a Yacht-Boy 400 which is very good on LW so maybe yours needs a front-end tweak. Clarkestown 252 is currently off air for maintenance and from late evening and Algeria Chaîne 3 is usually at d...

Re: SkywavesDX Transfer Complete!

All looks good here! The hosting has not changed so I don't think there are any issues about propagation, but I did get a page of error notices when I submitted this post. It nevertheless uploaded correctly. Maybe I wasn't logged in correctly

Radio France latest downsizing

The Radio France state subsidy is to be further cut under the plan "Radio France 2022" according to Le Monde
It sounds as though the first noticeable consequence will be termination of local opt-outs on FIP, not sure when

Skywavesdx Yahoo group

Some members including myself have been having difficulty seeing the Yahoo group. It's supposed to be viewable by the public but they suddenly stopped you viewing anything Yahoo unless you log in with with a new 'profile'. I tried the various options, one of which was to cancel my subscription. I tr...

Re: Scala Radio

RadioToday says Gala test tx have begun, so I did a retune, but nothing there, only HEAT which causes the rx to hang on a non-DAB+ rx, or 'unavailable' on a modern rx

Re: The Beauty of Macros in Word Processing

Thanks BP. I use notepad constantly, though not for anything clever. I will install Notepad++ next time I can close all tabs and windows on my PC ;) I suppose you can have 20 tabs open in Notepad++ ? or do you have to run separate instances? Looks like I'll have to edit all my personal web pages to ...

I have bought Textpad twice but now I use the free version. Macros are tricky to set up but there is help on the user forum.

Thanks for those streams. I notice that they are a few seconds ahead of Le direct

Listening now to Le direct there was an announcement "vous écoutez Classique Plus". Very confusing, and the two channels have different programmes.

Re: Short Waves not working
