Re: Technisat 215

There's a potential that 10C has a birdie which is why it's reception dips on a weaker semi local. Don't let me put you off Patrick, it is a good radio and may just have unit to unit variability on certain channels.

Dab mmi fs2052 0000 0419 v 4 3 17 ex28274 1B8 103008020080000745 So it is the same as yours. I've tested again this evening and whilst it cannot hold stable audio like the Technisat on 10C and infact does not register as high of a signal on it, it does pick up 11C with 1 bar that the Technisat canno...

Re: Technisat 215

Only just back from work so I'll check tomorrow and let you know about what's inside the battery case. I did check the software and it says fs2052. I'll do more tests tomorrow. However it is a nice radio. I may well opt for a longer antenna.

Re: Technisat 215

That's an interesting video. I've had so much dx in England using the 69 from Norway down to France and every country in between. However that video shows a different story. I'm going to retest the solar dab2 when I get a chance but it was definitely the least sensitive of the 3 radio's. However I'm...

Re: Technisat 215

Despite ordering black and the picture showed logo's my radio arrived in white with no logo's and the Verona chip. So I was pleased with that. I contacted Roberts over the weekend and they said the Venice chip was discontinued in 2014 so the chances of receiving an old version was unlikely. In regar...

Re: Technisat 215

Thanks. You've had some impressive dx. When I bought last night there were 5 left. Checking today only 2. I think these radio's are about to be discontinued. Edit, only one left now. Did you go for it Patrick?

Re: Technisat 215

Thanks for the info. I've just ordered the black one on the basis it will be white with the FS2052 chip. Sounds crazy but like you said it's a risk. I will return it if it is the Venice one.

Re: Technisat 215

Hopefully PMF907 will read this and clarify the chip or at least how to find out. Even if it has the chip I hope it can at least keep up with the Sangean 69 or surpass it. I'm very tempted to order it.

Re: Technisat 215

I'm not sure about the French version. I'm still debating whether to buy the German one as I would like confirmation on the chip as well. It needs to be the best dab dx portable out there for me to spend 99 Euros.

Re: Technisat 215

On Amazon Germany they have it for 99 Euros. It has great reviews and I assume is the one with Verona 1 fs2052 chip as it's from Germany. The English version looks the same and is named the same but is completely different inside and doesn't even do DAB+.

Re: Technisat 215

Thanks PFM907 (sorry, I don't remember your name). I will take your wise advice and purchase a SolarDAB2, currently priced about 85 euros (https://www.cdiscount.com/high-tech/radios-reveils-dictaphones/robert-solar-dab-2-radio-numerique-dab-rnt-et/f-1063004-rob5038301300791.html?idOffre=-1&awc=...

Re: Technisat 215

I would keep the Pure at home, as a stand alone player for listening and the Digitradio 1 for mobile DX. the Pure is too good to throw away I have the Pure connected to power cable without batteries and is still very sensitive and gets most stations I can hear on the Technisat, too. the best is a S...

Portable DAB Dx Radio.

I still use the 69 and haven't found anything else to be as sensitive in registering signal, decoding mux name and streaming audio. Is there anything else out there that can beat the Sangean 69 using just the whip?

Re: Sangean DPR-69+ 2 versions ?

I have the Sangean 69. On DAB it is the most sensitive potable I've ever used. It's FM performance is average at best and therfore useless for dx. Somebody mentioned the two versions on Amazon but I don't think this has ever been verified.

For anybody interested in US radio's I bought it! Although it offers exceptional MW sensitivity and good selectivity it's FM is poor in regards to both selectivity and sensitivity.

It's worth noting that despite exceptional DAB reception my unit has very average FM reception.

Re: Technisat 215

Why don't you just buy a Sangean 69 for DAB? I haven't tried the Roberts solar but the 69 has great sensitivity and has a reliable stable signal meter to monitor weak unresolved signals.

Has anybody here ever used this radio for FM dx. Its meant to have great sensitivity and selectivity. I'd be interested to hear people opinions.

Has anybody picked up Danish DAB that wasn't on the 8B channel? I noticed 8B will be going to a small scale service so will loose that dx option in Norwich.

Re: RTE to cease DAB Broadcasting

It's possible that the commercial sector will pick up DAB in Ireland and roll it out nationwide. I don't think we've seen the end of digital radio in Ireland. Infact this may just be the beginning.
