Re: XHData D-808

Mine arrived the other day as well. The PL-606 had developed a fault on the volume dial. WFME yesterday morning and VOCM this evening coming in OK with just the internal antenna. RDS seems ok - No DX at the moment, but both Bridge FM and GTFM which lesser radios struggle with RDS at my QTH were reso...

Re: The Conditions Thread

Anybody got anything on their recordings just before 0600 on 1460. I had WHIC with an ETWN ID just after the hour and that is the only station I have logged on this frequency, but just before the hour mixing with WHIC was this :- https://app.box.com/s/a0f8vjyl9we34e3z370el8ss528opj7q All I can hear ...

Re: The Conditions Thread

Yes John. definitely CKOC and definitely a Fox news trending after. An interesting one on 920. Very weak just before 06:00 sounds like OM and YL giving scheduling information, "starting Monday 5th February" and "news, local.... questions of faith heard weekday mornings at 11" on 919.9914 offset, but...

Re: The Conditions Thread

well done John. I spotted the carrier looked strong last night, but no chance here - too much splatter and noise.
1560 just the "wonderful" WFME !

Re: The Conditions Thread

The 1350 station could have been the same one - Similar offset. I got your 1510 station closing down several nights before you looking back, but not on the 12th. 9th was the strongest, but still no audio. There was the weakest, totally unintelligible audio on 530 this morning here. I suppose Cuba is...

Re: The Conditions Thread

Anybody else get the strongish Brazilian on 1350 around 0530 ? It sounded religious, lots of mentions of Salvador which could be Super Rede Boa Vontade, Salvador, but just as likely to be Saviour in Portuguese. No ID heard by me.

Re: Slovenia 1170 off ?

Yes. On the 3rd, 4th and 5th it was putting out horrendous noise (I don't have recordings before then). Today it is gone.
I've always wondered about its power. Overnight it usually wipes out Swansea sound here which is only about 40 miles from me.

Re: The Conditions Thread

I'm still suffering from terrible noise at the top of the band. It gets better the lower down you go ( for years I was plagued by noise lower down which lessened on the higher frequencies). Spotted WWL on 870 at 07:00 and was suprised when I saw that it was not in my logbook. I think in the past I h...

Re: North Midlands barrel scrapings 2nd- 4th Feb 2018

One of those devices (I presume) has been plaguing 87.7 mhz in my area of Cardiff for years. For the past 6 months it has been "relaying" something called Dragon Radio, before that it has been several DAB or Internet only stations. The strange thing is that it seems to be single station for these lo...

Thanks David. I may have missed that one as 1260 is usually dominated by Europeans here with just the loop, but this was really booming in.

Re: The Conditions Thread

Sorry ignore my last piece of nonsense. I was listening on poor earphones (not headphones) in work. As has been pointed out elsewhere it is WGVU and to make things worse it is on my recording as well.

Re: The Conditions Thread

I meant to mention to you yesterday that it was repeated, John. Unfortunately your signal is better than mine, so I can't help with the ID - I can just make out faint talk on mine well down in the noise. Interesting, though.
