Re: UNID UK

100.4 Is kmfm Gillingham 280 watts. Just after 0:48 the single word "Weather" gives it away. I literally 'just now' confirmed this by listening to kmfm on the hour.
Have you got anything on 106.9? As SFM in Sittingbourne a 100 Watt station is less than 10 km from kmfm Gillinghaam.

Re: Elad software

Thanks John. I had another Faeroes station (Tingvarp) which was at the time unlisted, which prompted me to check 89.9. Have you tried piping RDS Spy into Console? That facility is now available.. Recieve.. Broadcast FM, then the three dots to show options, then MPX Forward. Although Console's RDS d...

Re: Guess what?

you can buy a similar performing receiver such as RSPdx for a quarter of the price. I don't think you can say that a 12 bit ADC SDR will perform similarly to a 16 bit SDR. The maximum bandwidth of the RSPs is 8 MHz, the Elad covers the whole FM Band. The RSPDX is only 14bit ADC at a maximum sample ...

Re: Tropo Alert

Langenberg (D) at 457 km just making it to RDS levels. My usual low power European coastal station coming in nicely on the vertical 3 ele with RDS and one or two stations from the Netherlands. Better than nothing, but only worth doing unattended scanning to record the event.

Closer German stations with RDS - that's a 6 month gap since the last opening!

AliExpress - an Aladdin's cave

I've just received the 'small FM radio' module I ordered. I bought it just to see what it was like. It's amazing what you can now get for almost nothing. It's not for DX but the board includes outputs for stereo speakers - and based on the stated current draw with speakers the output could be 1.5-2W...

Re: SDR Console - running two SDRs at once

What is the Use Case for Band II dxers wanting to run more than 1 SDR at the same time; especially users of RSP hardware? The bandwidth is quite large (8-10 MHz off the top of my head?) and SDRC allows you to have, what, 6 separate receivers? Can each of these receivers have its own integral RDS de...

SDR Console - running two SDRs at once

This in answer to DXMon in a separate thread: SDR console allows you to run multiple copies To do so you need to set up separate identities, and this needs to be set up from the Tools tab. 1. Open the Tools tab 2. Click on Options 3. From the pop-up window find the entry “Identity” and select it. 4....

Re: 26/07 SpE

To add to MarioDX list I have the following. It helps that I know the Dutch/Flemish language quite well. My cousin (Belgian language teacher) said I have a good accent. But I've lost the fluency I had as not used for over a decade. So I have, so far (from the 09:00 UTC file): 92.4 BBC Leeds - Holme ...

Re: No PI Search on FM List anymore?

I must remember to use Ctrl-F5 more frequently. Obviously whoever scripted the ITCrowd did not know about that option :D BTW I only saw a couple of episodes when at my daughter's house. I thought it was totally childish, but the catchphrase stuck. And putting the IT department in the basement? Well ...

Re: 5/8th wave and height

The Korner 9.2 has a good SWR over the whole band. Here's the SWR plot for the original design, based on the dimensions given on K6STI's site and using 1/2 inch elements. Korner9_2_SWR.jpg I've plotted the SWR of the shorter 2019 version based on the dimensions I measured on the one I have (that it ...

Hi, Thanks for checking my files, unfortunately I do not know what has happened to these files,I am always able to play these files by all SDRs I use after downloading it from the cloud. 99,5 8012 has turned to be Radio Ideaal, I have just checked an IQ file that comprises this station with high si...

I'm using Chrome as well - with Win10.

"Having you tried turning it off and on again?" :D

If you are using Win10 there shouldn't be any harm in trying it out on Edge

Re: No PI Search on FM List anymore?

And in FMList I think I tracked down Ben Smith's reception of pi code 8012 on 99.5. Searching for 8012 brings up Radio Ideaal on 107.7. Then going back and searching "Ideaal" in Program it shows Radio Ideaal on 99.5, 105.1, 105.8, 106.5 and 107.7 - the first three are listed with PI 8012, so has the...

I saw the Mexican station at one point, but only once.
I think some are entering the PI code in the wrong box - which I did a couple of times. pi_id is for pi code, rds_id for station name (PS).

Re: No PI Search on FM List anymore?

Chris, indeed the pop up box should close, and the main page should reload with the results. The publicly available search box was misused, so we had to take it off. I'll consider activating it inside FMLIST for registered users. It works for me AND it also works for the RDS_id (PS). Not only that ...

Re: 26/07 SpE

I downloaded the first file (10:52-10:54) and tried playing it back in SDRConsole but there was hardly anything there - just D2F6 So I then tried File Player in SDR# and it was full of stations. I double checked that news recording from SDR Sharp would playback in SDRConsole - which they did. Both f...
